About
Hi! I'm Alessandra Asti, also known as Astridhati (when I draw). My work as an illustrator draws inspiration from everyday life, with a touch of irony and a real love for vibrant colors. After earning a degree in Philosophy and spending several years working in jobs that had very little to do with art, I decided to pursue a lifelong dream and completed a three-year diploma in Illustration at the "Scuola Internazionale di Comics", studying between Milan and Padua. I love experimenting with a mix of media, both digital and traditional. I often work with Procreate and Photoshop, but also pencils, watercolors, inks, markers, and gouache. My main inspirations come from the simple shapes and bold colors of Art Nouveau, and from classic children's book illustrators like Maurice Sendak and Mary Blair.
